1- It shows the info (number of file, name of the detections, detection paths, date and scan type) of the last scan made on the device
2- A way to renew from my avast website the email registration on each device. When you have a lot of devices under your control, almost every weekend I must contact someone to connect in their machine just to renew the email registration, remove their old entry in my avast website under my account, and add their device again with the new email registration on my account…
3- Warn about outdated software in the machine (using the information from the software updater module)
We can bring this info from the Info tab to the the Overview screen.
I am not sure if I understand what you mean: the devices get unpaired from your account and go archived? What types of devices? This would implicate a serious bug, but we need information.
There are some privacy concerns about storing and processing software update data, but once that is sorted out, this makes the top priority list.
1- Great! Also, it would be excelent if the On demand Scans Results also be available, not just the real time scans (webshield and file system shield).
2- When the free license expires, the device stops to submit info to my avast website. It says “License State: Expired” and Last Communication the date it has expired. No further updates happens, even the devices getting online after the expiration date. I only checked this behavior with laptop / PC… Not sure about Tablets and Mobiles.
I click at “my.avast.com → Apps - > Forum”.
Current tab go to this forum and new tab created (and go to this forum).
I think we should not implement both of these actions. Only one of them.
This behavior detected in android browsers (opera, chrome; android 4.0.4).
When I click (tap) at news link, there are two new tabs created.
Also
When I tried to do this actions in windows chrome, I noticed different behavior in using Apps->(Forum/Feedback/AvastHome) and using tiles at main screen (near the “Social Media Security” tile). Addition 24.12: now I see the same behavior.
Also_2
There is no facebook icon in “Settings->Facebook Settings” (windows chrome).
“Settings” is a screw-nut icon near the “Apps” icon. Addition 24.12: this is because “StopSocial” extension for Chrome I used.
30.01.2015 fixed
And now I noticed that some menu names (“Apps”, “Account”, etc.) not shown at windows chrome, but shown in android. I think this is because of screen resolution: 1280x800 (android) and 1024x600 (windows).
Android Chrome and Opera:
Now I need to click (to tap) some tab manually (Settings, Anti-Theft, Backup, etc). Addition 24.12: now “Settings” tab is activated automatically.
Windows Chrome:
“Settings” tab is activated automatically.
I suggest to add “Refresh” button to “Devices → Some_device → Info”.
Now I use “Message” or “Run backup” for this (I want to know battery status for android device).
By the way, if you want to use this technique, keep in mind that after you send a message, your device turn on the screen and never turn it off until battery is empty or somebody click “Dismiss” button at device.
When I click (tap) on link in “News”, two new tabs are created (Android Chrome).
2.1) When I click (tap) on “Forum” tile, current tab and new tab goes to forum (Android Chrome).
2.2) When I click (tap) on “Apps->Forum”, two new tabs are created (Android Chrome).
Facebook icon in “Settings” and “News” are blocked by “StopSocial” extension (Windows Chrome).
Third (3) thing is not avast’s problem; for information only.
This is my first time posting on a board, so please forgive me if I do anything silly. :
I noticed in the latest update to my.avast.com (ie from 19th December onwards) that:
Under “Security Information” you have an option called “Last Communication”.
It shows/lists the time (ie xx minutes/hours ago) that the computer communicated with your servers but not the (date and time in brackets) - which was there before 19th December update.
Is it possible if you can change the coding back to show the (date and time in brackets) - similar to the next field of “Last Update” or tell me if this has moved to a new section within my.avast.com.
I would love the possibility to use Two (or Multi) factor authentication before being able to log into My Avast. The options to secure your devices with anti theft is great, but it would be terrible if these options fall into the wrong hands.
