Enjoy this beta!
We are looking forward to your feedback.

Also please be informed that we would appreciate if you would be so kind and try our Antivirus product based on so called “icarus” setup (installation and update engine) already used for other Avast products but now available also for AV. More information is here: https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=264883.0.
Please note that in order to get it, you need to uninstall the current one (automatic migration is not supported at the moment).

Thanks Karel, testing it asap…

Is there also a link for Omni? Thanks

Thanks for the new beta

That doesn’t work.

If so, you need to wait for Karel.

Edit: Wait, are you on Icarus BC…? If so, you could try: https://honzik.avcdn.net/setup/avast-av/beta/avast_omni_online_setup.exe

Got it, thanks

Works for me. You can try copy&paste the URL to browser, this should work as workaround.

The copy and paste method worked but,
I don’t have the beta version. It’s the regular version and it’s version 21.7

Just run Wi-fi inspector and it stuck at 99% ???

Edit: Re-run just works fine :-\

Still hoping for a link for Omni to the latest beta version. Thanks

That`s strange, because when I use the link, I get 21.8 version. But you are right, there is missing “BETA” tag. Can you please check the version once again? If 21.8 is not installed in your case, please send me the logs. Thank you.

Bob, according the logs you uninstalled Omni beta and installed production version 3.9. So it is correct you have 21.7 version. If you want to use beta, please uninstall current version and use the beta installer.

Hi bob3160, I also noticed that after you uninstalled Icarus AV (-> based on new setup) you installed Instup AV (-> based on older setup). Was it intended switch? If yes, can you please tell me what was the reason? I would like to know if there was some issue with our new setup. Thank you

Lukas

No issues with Icarus. I uninstalled Omni to try out AvastOne then uninstalled Avast One and installed Omni again from the link in this thread. Which gave me the old version instead of the beta version I was expecting.

Good, here you can find Icarus BETA installers for case you are still interested in testing of AV based on new installer (it will install the latest 21.8 AV BETA build)

Thank you and have a nice day

After the install, the UI was black. After Rebooting I couldn’t open the UI or access anything via the tray icon.
Repaired, rebooted twice, same problem. UI doesn’t open and no access via tray icon.

Hmm, it is strange. Did you try Omni online package? I briefly retest clean install on my VMWare image and I did not induce issue but we will definitely check your logs if you will be so kind and generate support package for us. Did you perform OS restart after instup AV uninstall? Thank you

Maybe there can be also issue in mixed Instup and Icarus AV. I will definitely try to retest also scenario when Instup Omni is installed before Icarus Omni.
