it ask all the time download the premium version for money or web protection for free during 60 days …. what’s wrong with the free avast ??
First, I’m an Avast user and not an Avast Team member.
Many such topics relating to this, Avast issued a fix but it didn’t work for all and are trying to find and fix the cause.
And
same here avast is starting to feel like the spam it’s supposed to stop!
Issue is here for over 1 month and they dont bother fixing it, just every day deals pop ups to pay money.
Maybe I’m wrong, but it seems highly unlikely to me that the delay in solving the problem is intentional.
Of course, in theory, it could be a strategy aimed at pushing users toward the paid versions; but in that case it would be a very unfortunate strategy, because obviously many users, faced with the constant pop-up messages, would be tempted to abandon Avast altogether and switch to some other free product.
Maybe this is one of those insidious software problems whose solution is much more difficult than it seems.
Undoubtedly, in recent years, software houses have reduced the resources dedicated to testing products before release, preferring to delegate the burden to users, who are definitely cheaper. And this is especially true for “free” products, whose free nature can indeed be seen, at least in part, as a kind of compensation for the… unofficial role of testers.
However, sometimes things look a bit exaggerated, especially when dealing with products which are strictly related to security.
All what is needed is to disable this stupid pop up deal so we can click on renew buttons properly. I refuse to believe that its difficult to remove such a stupid thing within more then 6 weeks now.

If only it were that easy, flip a switch On, flip it again Off.
As the potential for damage to a companies reputation would be a serious motivator. People currently experiencing this once a year problem are highly to purchase one of the paid options, that’s a motivator.
Monitor the activity in the other links given in this topic.
It often is very easy, pop ups, commercials etc are not connected with the tool itself, they dont or should not require even tool/program update to be removed or added. Same as any additional commercials, pop ups etc.
This isn’t a commercial as such but a reminder that Avast Free requires a renewal of the free subscription.
The issue is there is no way to gracefully do it as the UI for want of a better word is screwed and that is what they have to find and fix. As has been mentioned there was an emergency update released, but that failed to resolve the problem.
All of this mentioned in the links that I gave.
They also requested users to submit a support file and give the ID number, to help in pinning it down.
But again, the problem is very well known, its constant and infinite pop up of “super deal offer”. Removing this will enable screen for renewal go as usual. Its really not that big deal. From some reason this “super deal screen” was not disabled no matter how many people reported it. And please….dont tell me disabling this “epic offer” is difficult.
Well known to whom and that doesn’t meant it should be simple to fix.
I would suggest that people who can’t renew their free subscription are more likely to seek out a different option rather than purchase one of Avast’s paid program options.
So it isn’t in avast’s best interest not to fix it, if it is a simple as you might suggest.
Annually when it is time to renew the free subscription they will offer Avast Premium to Avast free users.
The greatest majority for whatever reason will decline, this is unlikely to motivate them to purchase, so it isn’t in Avast’s interest nto to fix it if is so simple.
