While doing registration for new avast v7, I got the following “Not Found CASTGC Cookie”

Add another dissatisfied user to the pile. This issue, combined with Avast “upgrading” my Chrome v18 install down to v17 (see http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=93980.0 for more on that one) put a big knock on my faith in Avast to protect my machines.

I was able to register Avast 7 using the offline option in the registry page of the software. Received the key by email.

It may be that some progress has been made as they were working on it, this from another topic.

EDIT: update

Still down, whilst not getting the cookie error you get the unavailable error.
