Where does one download this? Mine will not update?

I’ve been using avast for a while. Tried other solutions but always keep coming back. Just a few things that irk me after the update: It changed my settings. Specifically: My updates are set to manual, the auto-sandbox is disabled and I do not want to participate in the avast community. After the update, my updates are set to automatic, the auto-sandbox is enabled and the box to participate in the avast community is checked.

I don’t like settings changed without my knowledge or consent. Just a small complaint/observation. Can you all just leave my settings alone after an update or do I have to go through everything just verify the program is setup how I want it, not how someone else thinks it should be?

Just wait. The servers are being updated.

At least it doesn’t install Chrome and or toolbars for you.

It usually takes a while to push it to all download servers.

I did and it did now I would like to Download it, where would I find that.

It doesn’t change any settings on mine. You can keep a backup of your setting too. Under Settings > Maintenance

WinXP Pro SP3 update manual all is well.

Third request, where can I download this or do I have to go to Majorgeeks to get it?

avast! Free Antivirus: http://files.avast.com/iavs5x/avast_free_antivirus_setup.exe
avast! Pro Antivirus: http://files.avast.com/iavs5x/avast_pro_antivirus_setup.exe

Thanks you very much. :slight_smile:

You’re welcome.

@Alikhan:
Thanks, I did not notice the settings backup.

I updated three other computers and none of the settings were tampered with except for the participate in the avast community, which were checked on all computers after reboot (previously unchecked).
