Manually VPS update never stops (vpsupdate). Funny side note, if you go to another setting and return you can start multiple VPS updates (vpsmulti). ;D
Odd occurrence here doing the update manually from GUI.
Clicked on Program “Check for Updates” and progress bar flashed and then displayed in small red righting:> undefined < but no update started.
I had to re-click “Check for Updates” a second time for an update to actually occur.
The odd thing is it happened exactly the same way on both Win 10 machines,
Was this released to the stable channel already? I don’t participate in Beta testing at the moment, but I checked for updates just earlier and it said that 18.7.2354 was available.
If this has been reported or isn’t supposed to work yet sorry but I find that with this beta update 2354 the Repair Tab in Settings/troubleshooting section does nothing for me (doesn’t respond) , Nor does the “Back Up Settings”
Is this working for everyone, or is not supposed to yet. Thanks
Since this beta has now been released (with the same version number, my pet hate) is this bug still in the New program as an undocumented bug/known issue.
From my understanding, the Release version does not have the same “Setting” option/Menu so I don’t think what I’m seeing is in the Release version.
I don’t know for sure as I don’t run the Release, only betas
Since it has been released, Avast are hardly likely to make changes to the beta versions.
However, as Bob said the Repair is no longer there in the UI and neither is it in the Control Panel > Add Remove Programs/Programs and Features either.
Very disappointing as this valuable Repair option has saved many Avast users having to do a clean reinstall.
Hi David
THe ‘Repair option’ is in the beta UI but it’s just not functional yet.
I ‘originally’ pointed that out because I stumbled across it and didn’t realize it wasn’t functional ???
