Offline version

Hello,

Where we can download Avast offline installers? It seems that they are no longer available?

Since updating Avast is no longer possible (unless you disable some security) offline installer is the last resort.

Some time ago they stopped offering it, but recently I believe it is back.

This one was for the Avast Free version 26.2 release, that said the link generally downloaded the offline update for latest/current Avast Antivirus Free version.

There is also a link in that topic for the off-line installation for Avast Premium.

I’m not sure what you mean by this comment ?

I’m able to manually update Avast Antivirus Free that I have been using for over 20 years
So what errors are you getting ?

Links to offline installer file downloads, for the latest version Avast Antivirus Free and Premium can be found here: New version 26.10 (13.10.2026)

Like DavidR, there should be no problem updating the program version via: Menu>Settings>Update [Check for Updates]

What are you seeing when you try to do this?
Also which version of Windows are you running, and which version of Avast do you have now?

Thank you for the link. Usually I don’t download files from forum links, especially if they are shortened, but I guess I don’t have much of a choice. Earlier offline version links were available on the main site, but it looks like offline versions are gone, and even worse Avast Free Antivirus is gone entirely from there.

And for the update problem I will just post links to the other topics with the update issue similar to mine:

Cannot update Avast or AV database

Avast can not be updated due windows firewall control

Update avast

Whilst the link might appear shortened, hover your mouse over it and you should see the full path.

Also that new version post was done by Daud.AlNugaidi Employee an Avast team member. I always download a offline installer as backup, from those new version posts.

Avast Free Antivirus is at this address Download Free Antivirus Software | Avast 2026 PC Protection

Anyway, look like the name changed from Avast Free Antivirus to Avast One Free Antivirus, is this true? Anyone can confirm that?

If you download using the offline download links in the announcement post: New version 26.10 (13.10.2026) it looks to me like that delivers the non Avast One installer, which I have set aside. However I’m still watching for complaint posts in this forum before actually applying it, so I don’t have confirmation of that yet.

That link was for the Avast Antivirus Free not for Avast One.

You would have to monitor the Avast One side of the Community forum for any program update notifications and see if there is an offline installation file option.

Plus any sub-forums for different Avast One products.

Whilst this is an Old Avast One version, there is a download link - I don’t know if that is an off-line installation file or not (that isn’t mentioned). If so, I would also be hoping that it too would download the latest offline installation for the latest program version.

Or try to find a later version update notification topic.

I haven’t tested that link as the last thing I would want is Avast One installing.

“non Avast One installer” meant to mean the installer not for Avast One, e.g. Avast Free. :frowning:
