  what I sent was the copy that came up after I click note pad. I will go back and see if I can fine the right ling you are talking about but if I am right you are wanting me to fine the UAC prompt right. be back when I can things are get starting early here. Sharon

also remember me telling you that some one some time back said I need to up date Java so I don’t what I did then whether I tried my self to or just left it a lone. I do have other Java things that I put in a certain folder witch I have put things in That icons came up on my desktop with out me doing any thing to put them. let me know if you want me to tell you witch ones has come up on there own and what they have in it. I am still looking for the site that Tarq57 sent me but I will send this much as I have wrote down to where I am at now. I don’t want to loose my place. thanks every one you can see I am trying to do what is being ask of me. have a great day or evening and I will be back when I can or when I have more done.

    1st I got to say I am sorry I did not mean to send repeats Like I did I 1st I type it on a notepad I would be doing it on a couple of different ones because i tried to proof read I make correction as I go. to hard to explane that part and you don't need to hear it. just it was the only way I could do part of it at a time and put them together. I well try to be more careful.

JAVA SE Runtime Environment 6u13. I think I have passed the URL about the Java URL you wanted me to go back too and see if it still took me where it said the address was not found. I have passed at least one that it said it was not found. I well go back a but more I hope you all understand what I wrote. Just circle in on a notepad then you can send back to be just like you did the little pictures you sent me to see and all I had to do was click it to make it better then click it again to make it small again.then you can send it back to me. then I will explane it better if I can. thanks Sharon

It appears we are going around in circles, and I don’t know why. The very last liink you posted (that actually appears as a link) should get you to the download. All you do is select “windows” (not Windows64, or any of the other options).
Then tick the agreement box, then click the “continue” button, co loured tan/orange, and the download should start.
Appears it is not.
Lets give up on that site for now, and try downloading it from MajorGeeks. (This is a trustworthy site.)
The picture below shows a section of the download page. Click on any of the links immediately below “downloads” (I have put a red rectangle around the area.)
See how you go with that. Let me know if it downloads. Save it somewhere you can find it, normally desktop.

  just a short note cause I got to get right off and later I will try that sight you just sent. I kept going back and letting you know what I did on each step looking for the url to download jave. and two of the site I sent I could download java just did not know witch one you wanted me to download.  I was tell you how far I went back showing you each step I took so you could see the difference. the one site you said all I need was windows in it but all 3 of them took me to that same URL and that one you said was the wrong one.. I think I said this once already but I did send you to site that I could have downloaded it from and I still have those to pages if you want me to send them again I Will. I just want to keep reminding you I am not sure of all the different Java that may be on this computer.  Oh boy cannot recall every thing I was going to say right now. just let me know if you want me to download Java from one of the two site that have a good Java to download or go with the one you just sent and see what happen there. not sure when I will be back on. will get a chance to get some done sooner or later.

The easy and (hopefully) straightforward way to go is to try downloading it from Majorgeeks, (2 posts up, with the picture) and if it downloads we’ll get you to uninstall the old version/s via the control panel, then install the new one.
Fingers crossed.
Then we’ll get on to the other stuff. Desktop icons etc, and a bit of maintenance, a tidy up, and maybe there’s a bit of light at the end of the tunnel.

Nope, there is nothing clickable in those words on that page. But those words [i]do [/i]appear on the download page. Click where I've indicated in the illustration. Under downloads. Where the flags are. Are we seeing the same thing? Are you on the MajorGeeks page?

In case you are looking at click something at the Majorgeek download site that may not be the correct one, I’ve posted a picture.
In the middle of the picture is indeed some text that says
