Seems like the Web shield not turning on is affecting others

Web Shield won't turn on

This morning I noticed Avast showing a notification that the Web Shield is turned off. When I turn it back on, it switches back off after a couple of seconds. I’ve rebooted a couple of times with the same result - Avast starts and loads normally, but Web Shield won’t switch on. Any suggestions as to how to fix this?

Remote access, Real site and Web Shield will not stay on after Avast restart request

Hello, Like the title says, Last night avast put up a screen saying " Your computer needs to restart" . I assume it needed to do a security update. The window looked lagit. So clicked the " Restart Now " Button. Now the program is telling me to restart some shields. Only problem is about 10 seconds after i restart them , they turn back to the off position and give me the same notification " Some Shields need restarting". Is this a bug in the update? or do I need to uninstall and reinstall the …
